Effective 05/01/2019 the City of Manitou Springs is changing its policy for shut-offs due to non-payment. Payments will remain due on the 21st of each month with delinquent letters/shut-off notices being sent out on the 22nd of each month. Like the previous policy, any account that is 2 months past-due will enter shut-off status. The new policies mandate shut-offs will now occur on the 25th of each month instead of the 23rd, and no physical notice of shut-off status nor opportunities for on-the-spot payments shall take place. In the event the water is shut off for non-payment, payment in full including the $40 turn-on fee must be made before an appointment can be scheduled to have the service reinstated the following business day, where an account holder must be present.
