To apply for board membership, submit the following three items to the City Clerk:
- An Application for Board Membership form (PDF)
- A letter of interest
- A resume and/or statement of qualifications

-Business Improvement District (BID)
The Business Improvement District (BID) was formed in 2004 as a self-taxing entity whose assessment funds help Manitou improve the cleanliness, safety, and marketability of the Downtown Historic District.

-Chamber of Commerce
The entity that combines our Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau, and Office of Economic Development is called iManitou and is an excellent source of information for visitors.

-Historic Preservation Commission (HPC)
The Commissioners, all appointed by City Council, include 7 regular members and up to 3 alternates.

-Housing Advisory Board (HAB)
The purpose of the Manitou Springs Housing Advisory Board (HAB) is to define, research, facilitate, and promote safe, sustainable, resilient, and habitable housing and options for affordable housing for the City of Manitou Springs.

-Metropolitan Parking District (METRO)
The Metropolitan Parking District (Metro) was organized by election on July 11, 1989. It is a quasi-municipal entity with which the City has entered into an intergovernmental agreement.

-Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC)
One of the first duties of the committee was to develop the Manitou Springs Open Space Plan.

-Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB)
The mission of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB) is to ensure day-to-day procedures that protect and maintain the natural environment of our parks using best practices that support a resilient and sustainable system that is welcoming, clean, and safe.

-Planning Commission (CPC)
The Planning Commission serves as both an advisory board to the City Council and acts as the final approval authority on certain land use matters.

-Urban Renewal Authority Board (URA)
On November 21, 2006, City Council created the Urban Renewal Authority in order to encourage and promote redevelopment of the east end of Manitou Avenue.
